Lecture 2 operational definitions and data collection. You may be delivering reinforcement or punishment to the behaviour: make sure you catch the right one!! They are detailed descriptions of what the individual is doing or what you want them to do. They do not include suggestions about how to change the behaviour: no program ideas! Get the team to agree on what the behaviour looks like. Include all the necessary aspects of the behaviour: be reasonable, explain whether to include certain likely exceptions or to stop recording when these exceptions occur. What: should the person be doing anything while she is at her seat, remember not to include more than one behaviour in a definition if possible.
