Make bile from cholesterol in the liver, stored in gallbladder, secreted when there is fat detected in gi tract. Emulsified lipid droplets are more easily digested by lipase. Enterohepatic circulation is the cycle of when most of the bile that is released into the small intestine is reabsorbed and set back to the liver to be reused. Fibres can promote the binding of bile acids in a net excretion. Way of lowering cholesterol in the body. Bile in gi tract has two fates; In the colon, bile that has been trapped by soluble fibres is excreted in feces. Triglyceride -> monoglyceride + two fatty acids. Four types of lipoproteins (in order of largest and least dense to smallest and most dense): Chylomicrons - large, least dense, carries big load of fat (mostly triglycerides), made in enterocyte. Vldl (very low density lipoprotein) - made by the liver.
