The liquid part of the blood: referred as colloid, when the substances stay suspended. 58% of proteins: osmotic pressure, transport fatty acids, bilirubin, thyroid hormones. 38% of proteins: mostly antibodies, transports lipids, iron, hormones. The fluid portion of the blood when everything is still in it.
