Focalization concentration of consciousness are of its essence; attention is directed spatial manner. Capability of doing something else of the same time is limited to the degree that those resources are being used for the first task. Capability of doing two tasks together depends on how much resource is demanded by each task. Directedness to way you attend to particular sounds and have to block out other sounds at the same time. We have the capability of directing attention, blocking out unwanted info, filtering out unwanted info ( we don"t block out everything some things get through) Can direct attention to one source and block out info from another source yet some things still get through. When names of words not in conflict with colour are easy to identify. Difficult not to process semantic nature of word itself when word conflicts with its colour.
