Exposure to high levels of stress early in life has long-term consequence on health. The back catcher who was afraid to throw the ball back to the pitcher. Every time he went to throw it back to the pitcher it reminds him of the time he missed and it re-invokes this stress response. He"s stressed he"s going to miss every time due to the first time he missed. Conditioned fear response to throwing the ball back to the pitcher. Seemingly innocuous events can lead to a very real stress release in body. 1995 terrorist group released a nerve gas called sarin into the subway system.
