Document Summary

Valgus sprain mucl: medial ulnar collateral ligament, hyperextension, foosh: fall on outstretched hand, all body weight to impact, opportunity to damage something of elbow (hyperextension or valgus, ex. Rom: ucl or hyperextension or tracion, see that extension of the elbow is aggravaing (lexion isn"t a problem, pronaion and supinaion are only bad if you had radial head dislocated. Muscle guarding: flexors will increase acivity, hold elbow in lexed posiion, triceps tend to be quiet. Nerve problems in forearm, issues that revolve around too much compression of the nerve (median, radial, ulnar) Problem is compression of the arterial supply for the nerve. Nerves stretch and bend, we can squish them, they don"t break down easily. Blood supply tends to be supericial, penetrates into the nerve. As we apply pressure to the outside, we cut of blood supply and it starts to malfuncion: when you hand falls asleep. Compression can come from hypertrophy of muscles that are adjacent, choking the nerve.
