Leadership is an important component required for sustainable success. Examined parental leadership style and its inluence on adolescent"s leadership style in high school sports. Athletes rated their parents and own tl behaviours. Athletes percepions of their fathers tl behavior predicted their own tl behavior. Athletes with higher tl were also perceived as being more transformaional by their peers and coach. Therefore, the more adolescents perceived their fathers to interact with them in a transformaional way, the more likely they were to exhibit those behaviours. Individual counseling: collect leadership raings (self-raings and at least 5 subordinate raings, review discrepancies in subordinate raings, develop acion plans to enhance tl behaviours. Workshop: brainstorm behaviours of efecive/inefecive leaders, link concepts to tl theory, watch videos depicing various leadership styles, develop acion plans to implement tl behaviors.
