Expansion of industries and factories (making more jobs) Taylorism attacks the skilled workers: assembly lines undermining the workers(cid:495) skills. Gompers(cid:495) believes that main leverage workers have skills. Gompers(cid:495) says (cid:494)we are losing our independence(cid:495) Gompers(cid:495) just focusing on consumerism, wages, benefits. Changed happened in the justification of unions: more to the business union model, turning away from producerism. No more small shops we aren(cid:495)t producers anymore. Thus consumer will lose : gompers(cid:495) says on social level, (cid:494)poor(cid:495) society (cid:498)go to poor society if you want cheap goods(cid:499) Longer term more prosperity society make little money but cheap goods.
