One of the most common compensative injuries for workplace compensation. Doesn"t mean that they will get compensated, but the chances are better for this than any other work related injury. Framework for explaining the emergence/recognition of occupational illness/disease: Theory of why certain kinds of illnesses become recognized when they do. Have employers and workers, then there"s the cause of the injury/disorder. Employer, when it comes to health and safety, determines the work methods. Employer also establishes work conditions: can make workers healthier, safer, etc its within your power to do so. These work conditions are the cause of injuries/disorders. Worker recognizes the symptoms of the disorder (don"t always understand/not always clear the connection between work and the disorder) The physician comes in (complicated role), identifies the cause and treats the disorder. These are interior to the workplace (no external factors) Ie. morse code, any job that involves repetition over time.
