The most important things for us, for example, water is sacred. So we perform a ceremony: puts a candle to the representative of the earth, water, corn, which is the food of man. It is considered, according to the ancestors, that we indians are made of corn: we are made of white corn and yellow corn, according (seg n) to our ancestors. The candle represents man as a child of nature, the universe: these candles are made and all family members come together to pray, mostly for permission to land, to give a good harvest. It also pray to our ancestors, by mentioning their prayers, that have existed for a long, long time.
