Anthropology, philosophy, psychology, computer science, neuroscience and linguistics are all domains of cog science. Behaviour psychology from experimental methods (eye tracking, accuracy rates, priming, etc. ) Empirical replicable and systematic observations by using rigorous methods. Interacts with applied fields forensics, slp therapy, educational language programs (esl), atypical language processing, marketing, language acquisition and computation. Psycholinguistics is a branch of science empirical studies. Science is the application of systematic observation and the experimental method to the understanding of nature . Systematic observation: regularly objectively observe things under controlled environment. This applies to all linguistics, not just psycholing. Experimental method: not just observations but also testing hypotheses by manipulating variables and observing outcomes. Nature: language part of nature where animals and humans communicate. Not necessarily culture since language is a universal theme. Test falsifiable hypotheses: hyp that could be shown it could be wrong.
