Mind is conscious thinking, and brain is not. Mind is like the working brain: mind is a more abstract construct, whereas the brain is an actual physical thing that you can touch. We talk about the mind and the brain as two different things: you"re out of your mind vs. you"re out of your brain . Can you have a mind without a brain though: if they are separate, then how do they communicate, seems like brain is the physical hardware, and the mind is the operations within it. Identity they"re the same: the brain and the mind are somehow fundamentally linked, emergent property the mind is what emerges from the physical structures of the brain. Mind: an emergent property of the organization of the brain: a useful way of talking about the jobs that occur in the brain. Hemispheres each half of the brain that are connected. Corpus callosum commissure fibres that connect the two hemispheres of the brain.
