Originates at l1-2 (called the cisterna chyli) Large clusters mainly in the armpits, neck, groin. Anterior mediastinal nodes typical site of mets from primary great or thyroid. Seen a huge lesion (m is pointing to it) Left & right vagus nerves are lateral esophagus. Merge to enclose esophagus in esophageal nerve plexus. There is a nerve plexus that surrounds the esophagus. Starts to left of vertebrae, shifts to midline.
