Identifying anything and everything that may cause problem in order to apply 80/20 and fix the problem (which are most important) Quality assurance (qa: management program to ensure excellence, what is the primary objective of qa, improving patient care, main emphasis is human factors, good qc does not ensure good qa, because it looks at so much more data. Quality control: part of qa that deals wit equipment, monitor and maintain technical elements that affect image quality, technologists, qc technologists, physicists/engineers. Control charts: chart of a measured value over time, centre line ideal value, upper and lower control limits, baseline, ucl and lcl lines present.
