Prior to ww2 the us is the most anti-union movement state; unions were much more powerful than the us. ;this machine kills facists; wants to privatize everything; strongly on the political right. Instruments and vocal timbre: what is the quality of the sound. The instruments are associated with folk music; the acoustic guitar along with the banjo. Solo part: harmonica; all these portable acoustic instruments that are associated with folk songs. Focus is on the song; harmonica player was playing the melody of the song. In folk music the song is important along with the performance. Singers have very rich voices and do a wonderful job of performing music together. Lyrics: the song is really political; described in a poetic way; its questioning the idea of the fascists.
