Vocalists remains the center of western pop music (since 1950) Sounds very similar to a song by chuck berry, so chuck was made one of the co-writers. Chuck berry is very involved in surf music. Brian wilson - the creative force behind the beach boys, bass player, song writer, was good at arrangements of vocals and instrument - lots of levels of complexity.
