Evidence suggests infants have natural capacity to entrain to sounds that surround them able to do this very early in development. 3 live music interventions randomly applied morning/afternoon over 2 week period: lullaby/singing (familiar to family or twinkle, ocean disc/drum to match breathing, gato box/drum stimulate heart beat. 1 volume : studies showed music applications of 55-65 db for short-time interventions met recommendations for infants followed this suggestion interventions were given randomly which intervention and time of day given. Mts from mid-atlantic pediatric hospitals with established mt nicu program.
