Types: positive (eustressors, negative (distressors, neutral, don"t lead to a stress response until changed into a +ve or ve stressor. External stimuli (stress source: external demands that trigger emotional, behavioural, physical reactions, factors: Quantity: negative consequences due to accumulation. Quality: major changes, affects a large number of people, ex. Wars, economic depression: major change, affects one or a few people, ex. Changes after a divorce: chronic intermittent, ex.
