Document Summary

People of the community should be free to make up their own minds about what they believe and that they should be free to express those beliefs anywhere they want. For many years, this was similar to freedom of speech: now the term is being replaced with freedom of expression. In many cases, our most important are communicated without the use of words: example, expression of burning a flag. Speech does not capture all of the things that we want protected. We express ourselves using far more than words. Canadian charter of rights: everyone has these fundamental rights: freedom of conscience and religion, freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication. Nobody thinks that your right to free expression is unlimited: should be certain things that should not be said, or certain times that certain things should not be said.
