Audience group: takes notes/asks questions then hands in a one page paper about who won (1 per group) Side a- 5-10 minutes to respond with counter arguments. Side b- 5-10 minutes to respond with counter arguments. Should latimer have been sentenced to life imprisonment. Voluntary- where the patient voluntarily wants to die. Non-voluntary- patient"s incapable of refusing or requesting (ex. coma) Involuntary- goes against the patient"s wishes- pretty much murder. Active- being directly involved in the ending of someone"s life (giving lethal injection- killing them) Passive- you just let the patient die- allowing patients life to end (withdrawing and/or withholding life sustaining treatment) 3. killing and letting die are morally equivalent (smith and jones example)
