Eros is the god of love (erotic) Everyone gets drunk to talk about sex. These men have affairs with younger boys. The boy has to make a choice, in return for sex, the man will become a mentor. A lot of these men married women and had families. Affairs with boys were something athenian man did on the side. Phaedrus - praises eros as the most ancient of the gods, the most honoured of the gods and the most helpful of assisting people to become virtuous, eros is humanities guide in life. Pausanias - there"s two kinds of eros, a common eros and a heavenly eros. Sexual desire of the common source makes no discrimination of the partner.
