Cognitive biases are cognitive processes that have outlived their adaptive function: you can ask for each bias what the adaptive function was, also can ask what explains why that bias is no a longer adaptive. Intelligence is information: nature and degree of complexity of info diverges. Focus of psychology of intelligence is on a kind of info similar to info we typically acquire through media, whether or not it also involves language and testimony: media is anything not direct. It is written by a trained philosopher who correctly understood good intelligence analysis to require a mind trained to think critically.
