Preambles: some legal document includes an introductory statement called a preamble what principles the document will be based on. Constitution act of 1980, preamble: whereas canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of god & the rule of law. The rule of law is important, but confusing to understand. People don"t know what any of the rules are. The rule of law follows by rule by law and embraces two principles: (1) government should organize their subject"s behaviours according to binding norms (2) governments should regulate their official"s behaviours according to binding norms. Conditions of the rule of law according to fuller: E. g. when police go above their powers. Voltaire: a cautionary tale: voltaire was beat up, voltaire goes to authorities and complains, but because the person who beat him (duke) was an aristocrat he couldn"t do anything, voltaire had to leave france.
