Legislative seems to answer to the executive branch yet it is suppose to function the. Acts only through the governor general;bound by constitutional convention. Governor general cannot refuse a law that was passed by house of commons and senate but can say they do not like it. Can kind of ignore the queen to some extent. 338 members who are elected into their roles; using rst past the post electoral system. Based on population; as population increase the number of hoc members increases. Cannot have less members for a province than the senate. No province shall drop below the number in 1976. Ontario is still under-represented on a pop bases; quebec is over- represented. You get the greater amount of votes, you get the position in the district. You could get 1 more vote and have the position. Tends to have false majorities; majority governments even when it isn"t really a representative of the population.
