Definition: the areas of law that govern the relationship between the state and its citizens and more particularly through the use of state power by the state in relation to and in relationship with its citizens. Definition: a set of series of formal and or informal rules, norms and or values that govern the relations or interactions between persons and or organizations and are applied interpreted or enforced by a judicial or quasi-judicial process. Informal is unwritten but are both binding for us. Informal is just as binding as formal but not written. Common law versus civil law: common is formal and informal. Informal is as binding as constitution: canada is both civil and common, civil code tells judges what to do. Domestic versus international: usa and iraq war, fought the war and former head of country was getting a bounty on him, war was still going on that time. International law deals with power majority like usa.
