Parts ii-iv of your term assignment involve a systematic exploration of the different techniques that you can use to gather primary data. Choose one of the many possible data gathering techniques - surveys, interviews, ethnography, experiment, unobtrusive analysis, using existing datasets, etc. And explain how you would use that technique to gather the data that will allow you to answer your research question. Reflect upon what the method can and cannot reveal about the topic that you are interested in understanding. To be able to do this assignment successfully, you must do some research on the method itself. Start with the textbook and its recommended end-of-chapter readings - and do some independent research yourself (this research should be reflected in your bibliography). Parts ii-iv should each contain the following elements (take the following as a general guideline. A discussion of how you are defining and operationalizing your major concepts and variables.
