Spontaneous recovery: demonstrates that the original contingency is not unlearned during extinction. This also suggests that extinction leads to learning an inhibitory response. Generalization: occurs when the organism produces a cr to stimuli that appear to the original cs. Stimulus discrimination: allows the organism to produce a cr to only a restricted range of stimuli. Phobias and their treatment can be understood in the context classical conditioning. Can be traumatic and you see the stimulus right away.
