Problem one: infertile couples that adopt sub-sequentially conceive. When the child is adopted, stress decreases and hormones are released. Stimulus of having the baby in the room cause physiological changes that can lead to pregnancy. Problem two: more babies are born on a full moon evening. There are certain cultural beliefs that people should be born on a full moon. More people notice when the moon is full, and connections can be made (problem with the data being reported or salient event) Both observations are only beliefs; the data suggests that there is no signi cance. Cello scrotum: results from young boys taking on the cello to early in life resulting in conditions with the scrotum. Believed and well written until 2009 when they confessed that it was all a joke (murphy e and murphy jm. ) Researchers and scientists can therefore be susceptible to erroneous beliefs.
