Newborns are unique in their own way, some are calm while others are easily irritated. Right from the start, they have an inborn personality it is our precursor to adult personality. It is an inborn predisposition to behave and react in certain ways. First major classification system (thomas and chess, 1977); you"re one of the three distinct categories. Easy baby; easy to deal with, 40% of babies, produce happiness about new events, predictable sleep, wake and eat patterns, adjust really easy to change. Difficult baby; 10%, less predictable with sleep and eating patterns, cry a lot more (also louder), react badly to new stimuli. Takes a lot of time and patience to develop predictable sleep and eating patterns. Slow-to-warm baby; 15% aren"t as negative as difficult or easy, no strong reactions to anything. Do not like new things however they are not passionate about their reacts.
