Conscience will punish us with this feeling of guilt if we don"t uphold to these rules. Meant to teach us to do good things. Ego ideal: list of things good boys and good girls should do (obey their parents, etc: try to meet this ideal, if you fail to meet this ideals you are punished with the emotion:
