So far, about morals, i know only that what is moral is what you feel good after ad what is immoral is what you feel bad after ernest hemingway. Role of the moral emotions (shame, guilt, pride) Role of moral reasoning (thinking about right and wrong ) Superego (rules and regulations) is developed at end of phallic stage (age 4 to 5) 2 components of the superego: conscience guilt. A list of things that good people don"t do. We will feel guilty if we engage in a specific moral violation: ego ideal shame. A list of things that good people do. These theories state that we are either punished or rewarded based on whether we act immorally or morally, respectively. Punishment: inappropriate punishments teach the wrong lesson. Hitting beating or screaming is not a good punishment. Kids are too scared to remember why they received the punishment.
