Overall the disorders are not that common in the population as a whole; community samples. = very rare, get more rare through years; so reasons coming from brain structure or neurochemistry; clinical prevalence = high, very common. Shows that the mind and body work together; the sate of your body effects the state of your mind and the state of your mind effects your body. Voodoo - dolls; this occurs; people told they have a voodoo curse set on them and they die soon after; if you strongly believe you"re going to die, you will die. Conversion disorder - functional neurological symptom disorder. Factitious disorder - pretending you have a mental disorder.
