It has been difficult to deal with panic attacks but meditation and yoga has been really effective in coping with them. After diagnosis was referred to a counsellor through mcmaster and saw her throughout her 4 year degree and still see her to this day once a month. Mother is a social worker and specifically specializes in mental health, so home life was supportive however her sister struggles with severe mental health disorders. Use humor and jokes as a coping mechanism. Very self sufficient so much so that cognitive behavioural therapy has been self directed, and she dealt with post traumatic stress disorder on her own. Cognitive behavioural therapy techniques are implemented into daily life.
