In dsm-5 a separate category established for ocd and related disorders. Body dysmorphic disorder belief that part/all of your body are misshapen or ugly, alicts young people. Hoarding disorder involves obsessive collecion or compulsive buying and storing of things. Excoriaion disorder skin picking, dangerous + unhealthy leads to scabbing, infecion, etc. Obsessive-compulsive and related disorder due to another medical condiion. Unspeciied obsessive-compulsive and related disorder when they do not meet criteria. Hand-washing (due to obsession of being contaminated), organizing and ordering, checking & rechecking, couning, repeaing words silently. If you do not perform it, you feel anxiety: relaively narrow range of obsessions and compulsions, many have mild versions of these compulsions ex. Forgeing if you locked the door and go back to check. O/c take more than 1 hour/day, or cause clinically signiicant impairment in important areas of life funcioning must be substanial. Not due to a substance, or another medical condiion.
