Use 4 functions in a balanced way. Preference in ego for one of these 4 functions: one dominates generally. Extroverted: thinking primarily at things in the outside world. Jung: whatever function dominates the conscious ego, opposite function of - the same kind dominates the unconscious. Eg. dominant function in conscious is thinking, then feeling would dominate in unconscious. Dominant sensing for conscious: intuiting would dominate unconscious. Auxiliary function helper function of the opposite kind of the dominant one in the conscious. Psychodynamic theory mixed with a type approach. Oriented towards things going on in the outside world. Respectable of authority, traditions, sociable, seeks harmony with the world, emotional thinking is repressed. Seeks new sensory experiences and sensual pleasures realistic intuiting repressed. Childish and indifferent to feelings, thoughts of others. Detached from people, rolls with the flow of events rather than guiding them. Not understood by others and caring little about their opinion. Life guided by inner rather than outer experiences.
