His differences with freud stem from the libido. He agreed that there had to be psychological energy. Jung saw it as life enhancing power and freud saw it as sexual or rather sex and aggression later on. Jung talked about the principle of equivalence the idea that at any given time the psychological energy is fixed and unchanging. So if you are using energy from here you must be getting from somewhere else. If it is removed from one place it is found somewhere else. Energy is fixed so it is always being shifted around. He sees the unconscious of having 2 pieces. The oldest and shared by al humans is collective unconscious this is essentially freud"s id. It is share by all human beings it is basically human nature.
