To kinsey, sex was about orgasms because this can be diferent between men and women, it is the want to have orgasms. Men"s higher sd there higher outlet, stable over time whereas female"s is very variable. But sd measures are confounded by someone"s ability to have a partner. And looked to see if it was related to ability to orgasm based this of of cognitive thinking not behaviour. Overall, sd is measured to predict sexual behaviour and sexual attitude. Women"s overall lower than men"s (evolutionarily makes sense) Socio-sexual orientation your feeling about casual sex being something you approve of and are okay with. Found a high correlation between the sdq^ and socio-sexual orientation. High sd means want to have more sex and it needs to be an okay thing to do for you to be able to satisfy it. Behaviours: younger you had sex = high sd, more partners = high sd, high frequency = high sd.
