Children who have a hard time with transitions (e. g. going to school) To determine abnormal behaviour we must look into the circumstances of the child, who was involved, and what is typical for a child of that age. Waited a few weeks to let him adjust but he didn"t. Ten year old who moved to canada, she could not read, previously would perform well. Cultural differences in standards/expectations of children of academics and behaviour. According to western standards, she met the criteria for a learning. According to western standards, she met the criteria for a learning disability. 17 year old male who did well in school for most of his life, started to withdraw.
