Dsm iv going to call something a disorder if one is distressed, disability pain, loss of freedom. Disorder involves some kind of a dysfunction in the brain or body. Hard time understanding defining what a dysfunction is. To upregulate immune system because its so expensive you have to downregulate other energies ex. Nonrandomness -> immune cells many immune cells function better in febril range (38-41) Immune cell function is not a linear effect. Natural killer cells -> fight tumours can be both increased or suppressed in febril temperature. If fever caused by viral infection cells -> killer cells suppressed. If fever caused by tumour cells -> killer cells activated. Zebra fish -> when get sick, move to a warmer area. If it was bacterial -> those were not upregulated, nothing have to do with immune system.
