The case of h. m: had epileptic seizures, removing the seizures took a toll on his memory and ability to recall past memories. Study phase: study a list of words. Test phase: recall, recognition, fragment words. Scores: recall control does better than amnesics, recognition control does better than amnesics, fragmented words memory performance didn"t really change same for both. Amnesic patients can remember verbal material if they are tested with a method of partial information. Study phase: day 1 study 8 colour photos, some once, some 3 times, day 2 study 80 more colour photos, some once, some 3 times. Research article #1 disproportionate deficit in associative recognition relative to item. Memory composed of 2 distinct systems: declarative, facts and events, medial temporal love, nondeclarative, range of different processes related to skills and habits.
