Moksa is dependant on renouncing the world: enlightment the achievement of special knowledge that is not normally available to us, renunciation the rejection of the normal social obligation. There is not enough time to socialize and to dedicate yourself. Being engaged creates an opposition to the goal, having sex with your partner is opposition of goal. Yoga is to help you overcome your passions and avoid sex: dharma a p(cid:396)ope(cid:396) (cid:449)a(cid:455) of life. In a brahminic sense its your prescribed way of life. In buddhism, it"s a (cid:449)a(cid:455) of talki(cid:374)g a(cid:271)out the tea(cid:272)hi(cid:374)gs of buddha (a(cid:374)d the buddhist tea(cid:272)hi(cid:374)gs tell (cid:455)ou how to have a proper life). Using all the available evidence we can for sure say that he lived. We know he was a historic figure because he was mentioned by other traditions. Some still believe he was just an actual person around the 5th century bce. He lived in/around the gangetic plain (northeastern india).
