The chinese americans had no accent and were described as being pleasant. They went to 184 cafes to see other people"s reactions to them. 72/ 184 cafes did not accept them. A questionnaire was then sent out to these 184 cafes and 92% of them said no to accepting. Chinese meanwhile, most of the cafes accepted the couple.
