Didn"t believe that homosexuality was anything wrong; but at other times did say the homosexuality was a perversion. Crazy shit becomes normal, no critical faculty, nothing people think they cant do, no abstract ideas. The unconscious can handle contradictions with no problem. The charismatic leader leading group to destruction is important. The mind is in different regions in the body. (talking about mind, not brain) Said psychology is not exclusive to individuals. Open to the notion that the group plays a creative genius role. Mcdougall the group mind: distinguishes groups that are institutionalized from the groups le bon was talking about, individuals in groups must have something in common with one another. The more strongly they feel about this common interest, the more threatening they are: emotions are so intense, individuals lose their individuality, individuals feel compulsion to remain in harmony with other group members, highly organized group. There has to be some sort of continuity in the group.
