Shortchanged herself, didn"t play sports, didn"t dance, didn"t like thinking of a future planning relaionship with someone. Equate worth with whats on the scale. Came to university bullied a lot, awkward didn"t know anyone. Engaged in conversaion about diet, about obsessions with other peoples bodies. Came a point where life wasn"t worth living. Felt like future was planned out die bc fat, no meaningful relaionships bc fat. Tried to talk to professors taking criical approach to idenity as fat person didn"t exist. Met with resistance, didn"t have anyone that thought it was a meaningful thing to discuss. Body isn"t worth thinking about, worth criically engaging with. Community of fat people on internet talk about fat discriminaion, sigma, own stories. Was given resources, books, spoken word poetry. Built relaionships, wrote for blog called fat girl food squad.
