In the 21st century, there is greater uidity in the lives of canadians as they change their life circumstances, family structure, living arrangements, intimate partnership and all types of relationships. Young adults are more likely to delay marriage, remain single, have fewer children, cohabit, have children without a cohabiting relationship, monogamous and polyamorous relationships. Young adults live with their parents longer and are more likely to be lat (living apart together) couple. Rates of remarriage after divorce or being widowed declines with age. Decrease in: cohabitation, lone-parent families, and people living alone. The rate of marriage in declining as canadians cohabit or remain unattached. Cohabitation is more common than remarriage and men are more likely to repartee than women.
