Have less control over the power of their lives, available choices, less life choices compared to those of the dominant group. Dominant group has the power to decide society"s values. Members of a minority group share physical or cultural characteristics that keeps them distinct from the dominant group. However, there may be little difference btwn the two groups but there is continued oppression. Tend to marry w/in the group; strong sense of belonging and solidarity. Classified people outside of eu (asia, africa) as heathens, non-christians. Also talked about things such as agility, courage.
