Diversity, choice, uidity in di erent aspects of private life and close relations: Uidity - the changes in peoples lives - where you see yourself at 25 might not be where you are when you"re 35. Relationship status - the kind of intimate sexual romantic relations: polyamouous relationships - 3 parents. Living arrangements: living apart together couples - don"t live together but maybe same city. Family structures: nuclear family: mom, dad in a heterosexual marriage and their children. Sexual and orientation, sexuality, and sexual relationships: growing number of children being born to people who are not in a relationships - single mothers, lgbt people etc. Emotional intimacy: for a very long time romantic relationships were the place where people recieved emotional intimacy - canadians - and internationally - are increasingly de ning emotional intamacy in their personal relationships that go beyond romantic. Becoming normative - change in family structures - changes in experiencing more sexual relationships and living arrangements.
