Argued that social class differences produced differences in the standpoint of women. Middle class women in german capitalist societies actually had high status professional jobs actually gave them autonomy and self-actualization. Working class women in german capitalist society had low status jobs, which they were doing meaningless alienated labour. That labour involved no autonomy and little pay. No matter what social class they belong to, most women will experience domination in the patriarchal household. Middle class women with jobs may have some degree of autonomy in capitalist societies, they will be dominated in the household. There will be different configurations of autonomy and domination due to the intersection of capitalism and patriarchy. She argued that only fundamental changes help women escape from oppression under capitalism and patriarchy. Occupational training that would give women better employment and more meaningful lives. While both are important, it is more important to eliminate the patriarchal household than it is to eliminate the capitalist workplace.
