Distinct limits to who they would engage with (limited to police, didn"t touch other ppl or shops) eventually did start attacking outsider stores like banks. Based around norms around community-don"t destroy our community. *suggests emerging norm theory, not contagion (what are we gonna do, who are we gonna attack, falling in line with a norm) Precipitating event: police shooting of young black man.
