Process that we are taught something that is important in society rules & norms, through interaction is how we come to socialize. How people socialize can help determine their importance in a society. Both are necessary components of successful socialization of an individual. Many of our social behaviours are physical and neurological. Toilet training- as a child gets older they recognize the cues of having to go to the bathroom through the neurological development (you don"t need environmental in uences to learn toilet training) Process of learning the shared meanings of those in the child"s respective. Adaptive nature of socialization (will learn key skills by learning to perpetuate or modify actions of how to act in a group)
